THE SOLUTION
Humane Education & Therapy dogs in our schools
HUMANE EDUCATION
Humane: characterized by tenderness, compassion, and sympathy for people and animals, especially for the suffering or distressed.
Humane Education: the use of education to nurture compassion and respect for living things.
Luke's series of children's books enhance students' motivation and are effective methods for teaching children literacy and other character building concepts of compassion and respect for all living things.
THERAPY DOGS
Therapy dogs can be used in our schools for stress management, anxiety, trauma, anger management, social isolation, literacy, and children with special needs. Educators and school administrators considering innovative and alternative methods that help students cope with the many pressures faced in today's world. Much conversation tends to focus on academics, but we should also consider our children's social and emotional growth.
HELP OUR ANIMALS
The statistics of animal neglect, abandonment, and abuse are staggering. Change starts with educating our children.
Together we can make a difference.
